We need to bring an artefacts today. But in fact those things are in my home in China, so I didn't bring real artefacts, but I asked my mother to take some pictures for me.
They are some wallets, probably produced in 1950 when New China was first liberated.We have now written some words to express our artefacts. I think it is rich in color and detailed.

As for why I chose this object?

I think it can represent China in 1950 at that time. The rich colors symbolize China's will to rise. And people at the time liked to wear red, green and green floral padded jackets, probably in Northeast China.
I think the most important thing is that my grandmother has always been with me, and I have been by her side since I was born. In my childhood memory, she will affect me a lot. It just so happens that my grandmother was born in 1950.

And whether it is the collision of the color or the details of the wallet, or the pattern on the item. I think the workmanship is very delicate.

But I started to think about how this can be combined with my project.

Because my main element will be calligraphy. Whether it is silhouette or printing, it will be developed from the perspective of calligraphy.
Because calligraphy has always been "white paper and black characters", it can be developed by combining its bold colors with the patterns on the wallet.

What do I need to do in the next few days?

I need to finish my research.
I need to make my collage more story-oriented and express the content clearly.
Combine pictures with collages and make more pictures. Use different materials (cloth or pictures) and different drawing tools and techniques.
It's not boring to think about how the calligraphy element should develop.
